How in Odin's name did the temperature shift gears and rev up to 70˚F? Best part of today was working in the yard without a shirt on (sorry, no pics). Honestly, I enjoyed Winter's icy hands up the back of my jacket, but I hope this weather is here to stay for the next few months...

Peeking at Last Weekend
The past few days have seemed like one big fun-time-celebration-happy-jam. Below is the evidence. Proceed with caution and fierce discrimination.
Training the kitties to stand on their own some day.
A dedication to 9th Street Peace Man.
Thursday I severely sliced my thumb whilst washing the Kitchen Ninja Blade. Yikes! I toughed it out and wrapped that puppy in packing tape.
Thankfully we made it to the February Brewer's Guild Meeting, bleeding wound or no!
Showing some love for St. Loo and Schlafly.
On Friday, I made beer while Nickie and Akiko napped the afternoon away. Irish-style Dry Stout.
Mother Nature was on my side when it came to cooling down the wort.
Later that evening, following the Roger Shimomura Exhibition, I chilled out with this guy and his cute pet.
With our spent grain from brewing, Nickie made cookies!
Akiko-Tested, Jackson-Approved.
We watched Poltergeist and immediately afterwards I broke out into a hellacious rash. Maybe my face was built atop a graveyard.
Our friends Detlef and Johanna visited us from Kansas City to celebrate Detlef's birthday. Woo-hoo! We ate, drank, and bowled. Who would ask for more?
Saturday Night Birthday Bowling Get-down
High Fives were particularly in order.
Johanna surprised us all by popping out of the ball return a la Lady in a Cake.
Fingers, important when you're bowling.
First Game: Akiko 41 - Nicolette 90
I freaked after realizing someone forgot to put a steering wheel on this thing.
Assisting Akiko with a Power-UP Pose. She beat my brains this round.
Post game Toast Off, San Shoes.
