FINALLY! Is Spring really here?? Logan and I were able to remove the plastic insulation off of our windows last week when temperatures rose close to 80 degrees! Stamos and Lebowski quickly figured out that their is a whole other world outside of the cold-cold basement.
Putting one cat in each window was not enough for Lebowski. Stamos let him have it! Fighting on five inches of window sill- yikes!
Stamos soon gave in. They really love each other- eve if they don't like to admit it.
Akiko decided to make us Unigiri- "poor man's sushi" or pickled plum filled rice balls with furikake and nori on the outside. She told us that when she was little in Hawaii she would bring these awesome Japanese treats for lunch when all of the other kids were eating pb&j. Lucky girl!!

Brew cookies for days. We made another double batch with the golden grains leftover from Vanessa & Kevin's wedding brews. We brought some to KC with us for Detlef and Johanna.
We had a great weekend in KC- the weather was fantastic!! and the hospitality even more so!!
Murphy Dog kept us company in under the blankets for two nights. He proudly brought me my bunched up sock in the morning- full vibrations and tail wagging in action!
